Tokyo gets hotter and more muggy every day. According to my laptop’s new Mac OS X Tiger weather widget, it’s 27° C now. The air conditioner, mysteriously, has been blowing cold air that smells of cat pee, so we’ve left it turned off.
Above: To refresh: cold noodles with cucumber, chicken, grilled eggplant, sesame dressing and spicy mustard.

cat pee… yikes!
I already can’t wait to get back to Japan because of all the good food… in spite of the heat, all of the good summer food is soooo worth it… Enjoy Tokyo!
The pee smell must have been a variation on that fragrance air conditioners sometimes get when they aren’t used for awhile. Luckily it didn’t stick around.
Yes, the food… When I imagine eventually moving back to the U.S., I start to miss all the Japanese foods that I’d have a hard time finding there. So you’ll be back this summer, Azim?
I’ll have to wait until winter, actually. Going to spend Christmas/New Year’s there–good Winter Food too, though!
