I use a Nikon D50 I bought in 2005. It came with a pretty decent 18-55 mm zoom lens, but my favorite is a 35mm prime (not zoom) lens.
I think the equivalent camera now would be a D40 or D60.

Gorgeous. I love the purple flowers. These are the kind of pictures I’m always wishing I could take, but don’t quite know how.
