Mari pulled an opened bag of snacks from her purse. She gave it to me, knowing I’d want to photograph it. A big red and blue fish/whale with a sailor hat has a word balloon coming from its mouth that says, “ottotto.”
Tiny crunchy, salty, puffy crackers shaped like sea creatures. At the bottom of the bag, the crushed remains of those who didn’t survive the trip home in Mari’s purse.
Fun to eat and tasty, but not satisfying. I estimate 92% air, like the brittle dried shells of small crabs you find on the beach.
