Until today I’ve been working on the floor at a low table. I’d sit in the seiza position with my legs folded underneath me. Even though I can sit like that for about 40 minutes at a time now, it hurts. My left knee started to give out yesterday while walking. I’ve been worried about doing long-term damage to my joints.
No more pain. Last week I ordered a desk and chair from MUJI. They arrived this morning.
I’ll still remind myself to take a break every 40 minutes or so. My knees are going to feel better, but sitting in a chair might make my butt hurt.
